Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Trevy E. Washington is a visionary leader, motivator, and inspirer.  He is a native of Houston Texas educated in the Houston Public School System.  He graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1978; has a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Leadership from College of Biblical Studies and a master’s degree in Global Leadership (MAGL) from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Although Pastor Washington was raised in the church during his childhood, he found himself as a youth entangled in a gangster-street lifestyle that almost cost him his life.  However, God began to move in his life in 1990 under the leadership of Pastor Willie Jones of New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas calling him in 1995 to preach the gospel!

Committed to living a life pleasing to the Lord, Pastor Washington subsequently led the way in ministries such as Becoming Ladies of Christ (BLOC) and Distinguished Men of Christ (DGOC) designed to help at risk youth live committed lives to Christ.  He has served as Youth Pastor at New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and as Executive Ministerial Assistant at Liberty Baptist Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey under the leadership of the renowned Pastor Anthony W. Wilcots.

 Called and anointed to preach the simple yet powerful gospel of Jesus Christ, Pastor Washington’s philosophy is “It’s all about the Kingdom”. He and the Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church family of Houston Texas began their courtship on Sunday, March 11, 2007 when he embraced their pulpit as Senior Pastor for the first time.  Both the church and community has been a benefactor of this relationship that will continue for years to come.

He’s a profound and gifted preacher, teacher, and administrator who share God’s Word with simplicity and clarity.  Pastor Washington is truly a leader, motivator, entrepreneur and inspirer to those who deeply desire to live a life committed to Christ.  He is married to Monique and is the father of four children, Jerelle, Satin, Jamie, Kingston, and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he loves playing golf with friends, traveling, and hanging out with his love, Monique.
